Kristina M. Lang, host/producer
Kristina Lang (29) is a strong advocate for mental health, aiming to showcase the benefits of seeking out therapy and speaking openly and honestly about our problems. In February of 2012, she was diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa, Major Depressive Disorder, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder by her university’s counseling center. Since her dual diagnoses, she has sought out various forms of therapy and adopted significant lifestyle changes in order to manage her conditions.
Lang holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music (2012) from Susquehanna University and a Master's of Science degree in Performing Arts Leadership and Management (2014) from Shenandoah Conservatory. Although her degrees seemingly have nothing to do with mental health advocacy, her training in leadership and business management has served her well in establishing and fostering an audience for her podcast - aptly named “Speak Your Mind.”
She currently resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with her two guinea pigs, spending her days as an administrator for Temple University’s Boyer College of Music & Dance. Aside from being a proponent for mental health awareness, her hobbies include distance running, blogging, political advocacy, and checking out the latest local craft brewery.
